Will Fees

Our fees for drafting wills are as follows:

Single Will = £240.00 + VAT
Mirror Will (for a couple) = £325.00 + VAT
Abortive Fee = £175 + VAT *

* The abortive fee is only chargeable once work has commenced on drawing up your Will

You will still receive your 30 minute free consultation

If you require a more complicated Will, (e.g. Trusts) or if Inheritance Tax advice is required, the solicitor will discuss with you

together with any additional costs before any work is undertaken. This work is quoted on a case by case basis

Lasting Power of Attorney Fees

There are two types of Power of Attorney available, Property & Financial and Health & Care

You can have either on its own, or both, depending on your requirements

One type of LPA (1 document) = £300 + VAT
One person, both types of LPA (2 documents) = £500 + VAT
Two people, one type of LPA (2 documents) = £500 + VAT
Two people and both types of LPA (4 documents) = £850 + VAT
Abortive Fee = £175 + VAT *

There is also a disbursement £92.00 per document registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) to enable them to be acted upon by the named Attorneys

Please NOTE: The registration of the documents with the Office of the Public Guardian can take up to 3 months to complete

We are able to offer the option for home/hospital visits at a cost of £50 + VAT

*The abortive fee is only chargeable once work has commenced, you will still receive your 30 minute free consultation

Matrimonial Fees

Once you instruct our solicitor to act on your behalf, the fee’s will be £300 + VAT per hour for all work completed on your matter.

Any letters, filing of documents or telephone calls will be charged at an additional cost, however, you will be made aware of these costs prior to work being completed on your behalf.

Probate Fees

Settlement Agreement Fees

We will advise you on your settlement agreement and the fee is payable by your employer.

The fee will be based on the quote given to you by your employer.

All of the above legal services are provided by Hans Davies, a Solicitor, who qualified in 2002, and his various support staff.

These matters all vary in expected timeframes dependant on the specific circumstances.

Updates on expected timeframes and key stages will be given throughout your transaction, as will advise on any unexpected delays or costs.

Conveyancing Fees

Our fees for conveyancing transactions are as follows:

Transfer of Equity and/or Re-mortgages

Transfer of Equity = £750.00 + VAT + Disbursements

Updating a Property Title at HM Land Registry

£250.00 + VAT + Disbursements

Voluntary First Registration or Assent of Property Title

£500.00 + VAT + Disbursements

ID1 Forms

£150.00 + VAT + Disbursements

HM Land Registry Official Copy Document = £6.00 + VAT

Bankruptcy Search Fee = £6.00 + VAT (per name)
HM Land Registry Search Fee = £7.00 + VAT (per search/title number)
HM Land Registry Registration Fee = Dependent on price/value
